The Sons of Thunder, is a non-profit (Applied for 501C3) motorcycle ministry Under the umbrella of Grace Ministries International and Holy Fire Ministries KC.  The SOT are based in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 2005 in Madisonville, Kentucky, by Shaun "Big MO G” Davis, a dynamic individual with a background in both professional wrestling (FKA Big Nasty and Max Carnage) and football.  Big Mo G is an ordained Apostle/Pastor, and is called as an Evangelist, Deeply involved in Homeless Ministry, Prison and Jail Ministry, Pastoral counseling & Discipleship.

The Sons of Thunder is more than just a motorcycle Ministry – we're a brotherhood united by our passion for Jesus Christ, motorcycles, community service, and spreading the message of faith and hope.

 

Our journey began with a vision to combine the thrill of riding with a mission to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.  We minister to the weekend rider, the casual rider, all the way to the 1%ers, we all need to hear of the love of Christ and the message of Salvation.

Through our various outreach programs and charitable initiatives, we strive to embody the spirit of compassion and camaraderie. Whether it's organizing charity rides to support local causes, participating in community events, or simply being a source of support for those in need, we are committed to making a difference wherever we go.

 

As we continue to grow and expand our reach, our core values remain steadfast: faith, integrity, and service. We believe in the power of unity and the strength that comes from standing together as a community of believers.

Members of the ministry consist of current Pastors, Evangelist, Ministers, Chaplains, Brothers, and other Christian supporters, and we proudly accept and want to partner with like-minded individuals, who not only fit in with the current members of the Ministry but also bring something new to the Ministry as well. 

 

We are not about numbers, we do not care about being the biggest CMC, or CMM but we do care about the character and heart of those who want to link up with the Sons of Thunder.

Sons of Thunder brothers are not perfect, we are a flawed design of a perfect creation.  Sons of Thunder brothers are real men, shaped by life's events and circumstances, coming together for the love of a creator who knows us, cares for us, and loves us.   We support each other, we care for each other, we love each other, and we are invested in the spiritual growth of each Sons of Thunder Brother.

The CMM provides mental and spiritual support for its members and their families by hosting Biker church every Sunday both in person and streaming on several different platforms.  The Ministry also offers opportunities to become ordained, with either an Evangelist/or Chaplaincy credentials, with disciplines in jail and prison ministry, Evangelistic ministry, and many more.  The Sons also support other CMC, CMM, MCs, BC's, RC's, H.O.G. Chapters, Independent, Nomads whatever your classification may be, we are here to support your club's events, rides, charity runs, toy drives, bike shows, weddings, Funerals, blessing of the bikes, memorial rides etc.

The ministry is currently looking to add new members, as we are in a rebuilding mode.  We are also looking to start other chapters throughout the country.  We do not recruit, we do prospect.

​

Disciple (Prospect) Requirements:

• Own or plan to own a motorcycle within the next 6 months. (Perferably a Harley but not a requirement)

• One-time membership fee of $125 for cut (Once Earned) and shirt. Due in order to patch in (new members must supply own vest)

• Members must participate in at least one ride or event each month. 

• Members should conduct themselves in a way that promotes the values and beliefs of the Ministry.

• Members should have strong family units, Be faithful, loving, nurturing in your role in the family unit.

• The Sons of Thunder has a hierarchy as follows: God 1st, Family 2nd, Work 3rd, then the Ministry

• Because we work with the 1%er or "outlaw" clubs we will not consider law enforcement for membership, although we do support LE clubs and organizations and we will refer you to a great club to be involved in.  LEO's are counter productive to the relationships we are trying to foster

• We have 3 levels of credentials, Discipleship, Evangelistic, and Chaplaincy.

• Every prospect must go through the discipleship course to get full patched.

Member Types:

1. Patched: has a bike and is patched in. Commits to all rides and functions. (Offering suggestion of $100 per year, also encouraged to sow into the ministry monthly as well)

2. Disciple: in the process of becoming a patch-wearing member. Will be allowed to wear the Sons of Thunder rocker with a Disciple patch but no back patch until approved by Ministry board and 100% completion of the discipleship course.  $125.00 initial offering for patch work and course administration.

3. Hang-around: An individual who rides, supports the ministry (time, talent, or financially) but has not made a commitment to be a part of the ministry.  Hang Around can just attend church, or enroll in one of the 3 courses provided.

4. Supporter: May or may not have a bike, but believes in the cause and purpose of the ministry, just wants to support the Ministry.
