Message From the Pastor (Prez) Big Mo G

The Sons of Thunder, a Christian Motorcycle Ministry, is a ministry comprised of a serious group of men who have dedicated their lives to helping the LOST find the CROSS. To be a SoT you have to have a calling on your life to want to go into the trenches to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to some of the greatest, nicest, nastiest, meanest, yet most loyal group of individuals on the planet, the Biker. You have to be willing to invest time into building relationships with those with whom you are ministering too. You can not as a man live in your emotions, be easily offended, a quitter, here one day gone the next type of person. You must be sold out for Jesus. Our prospect period will show your fruit.

We have a purpose and we have a mission that was laid out in Matthew 28: 19-20, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We also want to be a refuge from the world and all its troubles for our brothers and the women and children in our lives, by fellowshipping, gathering, cooking, and worshipping together. Building each other up in faith, and our walk with Christ. We build disciples

We look for men and women looking to join us to advance our purpose and our mission. We intend to make a difference for the Kingdom of God and for the nation and communities we live in, Specifically the Biker Community.

We respect our brothers in the motorcycle community regardless of who they are, and where they come from. We seek to bridge gaps, make friends and offer peace thru the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all fellow riders. We bring a message for the sinner, about sin, and the one true Christ who can deliver you from Sin.

Statement of Belief

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writing,

2 Tim. 3:15-16.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three dimensions: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Matt. 28:19, Genesis 2:26, Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 9:6, 1 John 5:20.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, 1 John 5:7.

The Father is the invisible power source with a personality, and while He does not have a body, He does have a physical image, Colossians 1:15.
Jesus Christ is the visible embodiment of the Father incarnated in the form of a man, Philippians 2:5-8.
The Holy Spirit is the unlimited, everywhere presents of the Father. He is like the wind that's always present moving as He wishes, John 3:8.

The Father is the invisible power of God. The Son is the visible Person of God. The Holy Spirit is the everywhere Presents of God. All three exist in the body of Jesus, making Him God, the Christ, the One and Only God Almighty! Jesus Christ is the compound of the Power, the Person and the Presents of God. Jesus is God, Romans 1:20. The Bible says in Colossians 2:9, "For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily".

We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious, atoning death, bodily resurrection and ascension, Rom. 8:34, Acts 1:10.

We believe in salvation through faith in Christ based on the blood of Jesus Christ at the cross, Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 10:13-15, 1 John 5:10.

We believe a person who believes in and continues to accept and walk by faith in Jesus Christ, as his Lord and Savior will continue to be saved, John 3:16, John 10:28-29, Rom. 8:38-39, 1 John 5:13.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, for the purpose of putting us into the spiritual body of Christ as His children, 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 4:4-6.

We believe in water baptism for believers as a symbol of their spirit baptism, depicting the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, and showing that the believer has been crucified with Christ and should now walk in newness of life, Rom. 6:3-7.

We believe when a Christian daily crucifies self and continuously is filled with the Holy Spirit, he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh but manifest the fruit of the Spirit. The most noticeable change in a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit is his language. The way he talks. Being filled with the Holy Spirit will empower us to be effective witnesses, speak with boldness the Word of God and know how to worship properly, Gal. 2:20, Luke 9:23, Eph. 5:18, Gal. 5:22-23, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 4:31, Eph. 5:18-21.

We believe in the local church composed of baptized believers, not simply as an organization, but as a living organism with Jesus Christ as the Head and the Holy Spirit as the Heart, Eph. 1:22-23, Rom. 5:5.

We believe that real revival will come when we lament the darkness of our mind, the stiffness of our will, the dullness and inexorability of our affections, and importunately entreat the God of all mercy to renew a right spirit within us, Psalm 85:6, 2 Chr. 7:14-15, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51:7-17.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, and while no one knows the day or hour, I believe He may come any day, John 14:10, Acts 1:11, Rev. 1:7, Matt. 24:44, Rev. 22:20.

We believe in life after death, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust, Acts 24:15

Our CUT (Colors)

The Sons of Thunder comes from the Greek word "Boanerges", a name given by Jesus to James and John, two of his apostles (Mark 3:17) on account of their ferocious and impetuous temper.

Our members are enthusiastic and passionate about serving Jesus, Preaching the gospel, and riding on 2's. The sons believe in the Shepard as well as the sheepdog and understand the need for both. The sons also believe in getting things done quickly and rapidly whether winning souls to Christ or riding our Bikes.

We Respect the Biker Culture 100%, We believe in protocol and rules, and we 100% believe in respect. However we are bound to God's protocol above anything deemed by man, and we stand on that.

Our Cut is a 3 piece patch setup and is in no way meant to be a sign of disrespect to fellow MCs rocking the 3 piece.

Our 3 piece setup is a representation of the Holy Trinity, GOD The Father, GOD in flesh (Jesus), and GOD The comforter (Holy Spirit), 3 God heads in one body. 3 Patches separate but unified.

The Top Rocker is the name of the Ministry, "Sons of Thunder"

The Bottom Rocker is what we represent as "Cross Bearers". We wear a state patch on our vest but we do not claim any state or territory.

We also have a side rocker which indicates those who hold an ordination/chaplaincy license, which reads H.C.M.O.A.M. (Hardcore Christian Man on a Mission)

The Center/Back Patch: At the core is always Jesus Christ. Our savior is the main focus on our patch, donning the crown of thorns, and blood splatter

Under Christ is a banner with the word Boanerges written across it. Behind Christ is a shield. The shield symbolizes protection, Warriors used shields to protect them in battle to protect against attacks from the enemy, in Ephesians 6:16, tells us to take up the shield of faith, which is the completion of God's Armor.

A Cross stands behind the shield. The cross represents our connection and bond to our lord and savior Jesus Christ. The Cross is where Christ paid it all for our Sins, and the cross is where we lay it all down to him. The Cross is the finished work of Jesus Christ

Finally, a sprocket in the background represents the common bond all bikers have, the motorcycle and the engine. The sprocket is an integral part of every motorcycle, resulting in more power and speed.

Our Colors are Red, White, and Black.

Red - represents the Blood of Christ shared on Calvary for the forgiveness of sin for all mankind

White - Represents the Savior Jesus Christ, Once receiving Christ as Lord and Savior our sins are wiped clean as newly fallen snow

Black - Represents the human condition outside of Jesus Christ. Lost in Sin, and on a speeding train to hell.
